Büssli TV, ever heard? 🚐 😍

Hello and hello! My name is Markus and I have been living in Switzerland 🇨🇭 since 2011. The canton of Thurgau has been my home for over 10 years. However, I am at home all over the world. As a project manager for topics related to logistics for a large international corporation, I sometimes spend 40-70% of the year somewhere in the wide world. Often weeks or even months. India, Korea, Japan, the USA or New Zealand. Been around a lot. I love traveling! Nomadism out of a suitcase. 🚐

To explore the country, people, cultures, culinary delights and business life far from home. There is no time for close family, so I live alone and actually like it very much to escape somewhere alone with the Büssli after exhausting business phases. Possibly also some time to work mobile from the bus.

What also recharges my energy stores is my great hobby: diving! My Büssli has been converted so that the equipment is always on board and ready to hand. So I dive -- also mostly alone -- long and to a depth of 60m dark into the beautiful pure waters of Switzerland and neighboring countries. There is nothing better for me...

To my Büssli 🚐

My Büssli is a VW T6 California Ocean from the model year 2018 with the large diesel engine and 4Motion. It was a lengthy consideration between an individual conversion and an off-the-shelf vehicle with subsequent individualization to my needs. And the latter was the winner: the car was fitted with a VB Airsuspension air suspension right at the time of purchase from Büel-Garage Gebertingen -- the technical professionals for Büssli and also installation partners of the Büssli shop.

Later, the two camper batteries were exchanged for two 100Ah lithium batteries, together with a 1600W inverter for 230V electricity -- so now enough power for a permanently installed Nespresso machine, a kettle, longer mobile office trips into nature or -- please don't laugh -- blow-dry hair after dives in the depths of winter.

It doesn't have solar, because I usually move on after 3 days and the batteries are full again after only 3 hours of driving. The most important conversion for me, however, is the trunk, which can accommodate my very extensive diving equipment safely, purposefully and easily accessible. Sleeping?? Only in the roof. But even in winter, thanks to parking heaters, CaliHeat and Caliboard, this is not an issue even with double-digit frost degrees... For me, this is the perfect vehicle and I would hardly want to swap it.

Pete from the Büssli Shop was at my side to advise me on the purchase. From our conversations and my many research into expansion variants and accessories, the idea of Büssli-TV was born --- initially it was called "Mein Bus" at that time and later got its current name. In the research and videos, I never liked the fact that the presentations didn't really get to the point. Details were missing. device has not been tested in practice. Or -- sorry for the direct words -- just some s*** 😬 is touted like warm croissants. As a project manager, I take a very close look at things and always weigh things up very carefully. This is also the case in private life. And that's how the idea was born to subject products to an honest and accurate stress test. And only what is really good gets an equally honest and open review. I also tested various products extensively for the Büssli shop before being included in the shop --- and yes, some products did not make it to the market at all.

Our philosophy is that only good and practical products make it into our range. By the way, a lot of work such a video! I don't turn away from the soul freely. There is a script. Scenes. A lot of preparation. So the effort for 15min video is easily 1-2 full days or more. Plus the time when the products were checked and tested in advance, sometimes for months. And that partly clashes with my professional travels, where I am also on the road a lot and for a long time. Like at the moment. Therefore, there was some radio silence on the channel for some time now. But there will be something coming soon!!
