Benny from Campdesign - passionate camper and tinkerer

It all started with the conversion of my own camper van, a VW Crafter. After the rear area was finished, I noticed how much unused space there was in the driver's area between the driver's and passenger's seats. That was the starting signal for Campdesign and our first product: the MiKoBox. After several prototypes, our first market-ready product was launched in early 2022: a multifunctional box that doubles as storage furniture, a shelf and a table. It features a drawer with storage space and two bottle holders that are perfect for 1.5-liter PET bottles. It goes without saying that the seats can still be rotated. The MiKoBox is now available for various vehicle models such as the Ducato, Crafter and Sprinter.

As many friends and acquaintances drive a smaller van such as the VW T6, the next step was to develop the MiKoBox-MINI. It was launched in 2023 and offers the same functions: Storage space, practical cup holders and a table function that can also be used while driving. Of course, the seats can also be turned when the table is retracted.

The highlight of this product: the table surface also serves as a step to make it easier to get into the sleeping roof.  

Our current bestseller, the Eurobox tablewas also launched in 2023 and was once again born out of real camping needs. People who use Euroboxes in the rear extension often only have a simple lid - so I thought, why not make more out of it? Our Eurobox table is compatible with all commercially available Euroboxes (400 mm x 600 mm) and not only serves as a sturdy lid or seat, but also transforms into a practical table in no time at all. If you already have a camping table, you can use our table as a side table, barbecue table or children's table. The lid on the rear extension can also be used as a kitchen worktop. The robust birch multiplex wooden top is available with a coating in various colors.

In November 2024, the folding table even accompanied us on our trip to New Zealand and took second place at the "Campfire of Ideas" in January 2025. This event, a kind of "Lion's Den" for campers, offers inventors and innovators from the camping industry a platform to present their innovative products. Our Eurobox table was one of the "Best of Three 2025" and was able to secure second place at the CMT in Stuttgart after a successful pitch.

The mini version of the Eurobox table, suitable for smaller Euroboxes (400 mm x 300 mm), has been available since January 2025. The MINI Eurobox table is the perfect solution for anyone who has limited space or is looking for maximum flexibility. Despite its more compact size, it offers the same advantages as the large version. It is particularly suitable for smaller vehicles or minimalist campers, as it can be easily stowed away and still offers all the important functions of a multifunctional table.

Fairs

We have already attended several trade fairs, including the Adventure Southside in Friedrichshafen, the Free Messe in Munich and the CMT in Stuttgart. Our products are always well received by visitors and the exchange with other campers, inventors and companies is enormously enriching for us. You get to know lots of great people and receive valuable feedback for further developments.

Cooperation partner - Büssli-Shop

Since March 2024, we have been proud to offer the Büssli store in Switzerland as a cooperation partner. On March 23, we visited the "Camping Days" trade fair at the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne. There we got to know Swen and his team personally. The cooperation with the Büssli store is great, and we are delighted that two products are now also available there in the online store. This makes it even easier for us to make our multifunctional solutions available to more camping enthusiasts in Switzerland.
