This was the 1st Swiss Büssli flea market!
What a success at the 1st Swiss Büssli flea market in Rain (LU)!
None of us had expected that! When we sat together late in the afternoon, completely exhausted but happy over a final beer, we realized that more than 800 Büssli flea market visitors had been to the outdoor storage area at the Swiss Museum of Transport in Rain during the day. 😲
We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our co-organizer "Swiss Museum of Transport" with Daniel Geissmann & team, whose guest we were in the external warehouse.
The atmosphere among our 25+ exhibitors was also fantastic. Conclusion:
- Lots of great conversations
- Good sales
- Mega nice visitors
- Fantastic atmosphere
- Exciting suggestions for your next road trip
And how did you get to Rain as a visitor? Either by car or bus or with the vintage bus shuttle between Rothenburg station and Rain 🚌. Thank you to the bus driver team.
At times, there were queues of cars at the entrance to the Büssli flea market, and there were sometimes short waiting times for the "overflow parking spaces" on the adjacent meadow next door.
We were told by our "parking helpers" that at rush hour there were around 200 cars on site!
Dear Büssli Shop flea market team: You are fantastic and with your mega effort you made a decisive contribution to making this such an impressive day for everyone!
The event would never have worked without the many volunteers who helped with parking and catering. Rumor has it that even the Büssli kids helped with their scooters to guide the many visitors. And even our chief organizer was suddenly the head chef at the barbecue for a few hours.
A big Büssli thank you to all exhibitors. With your special Büssli stuff, you helped to ensure that everyone had fun swapping, giving away and selling/buying. Your feedback by phone and email is clear: the 2nd Swiss Büssli flea market should take place very soon and you should be there again. We are very happy about that :)
And you, the visitors with your families, kids and Büssli dogs, were simply great. We very much hope that we were able to provide you with an entertaining day as part of our Büssli community. The relaxed atmosphere, the conversations, the interaction between young and old and lots of dogs in between: it was just really cool 😍
It was an unforgettable coach day!
